At Grace Chapel, we dream of generations, neighborhoods, and cultures transformed by the presence of Christ working through us. As a church, we pray for transformation in the lives of those at Grace Chapel, as well as those around us. We believe this transformation begins in the individual, then works through the family and community surrounding that individual.
Our mission is to build relationships with God and others and to broaden our impact for Christ. How do we do that? Only through the power of Christ. As a community of believers, we encourage each other in our journey with Christ. From there, we pray each believer can then live as a Christ-follower at home, in their neighborhood, with friends, or in the workplace.
In order to build relationships, we must be intentional. Whether we are speaking of our relationship with God or others, we must intentionally interact and pursue in order to see any relationship flourish. At Grace, we seek to be a relational people. We believe we are to be ambassadors of Christ in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and anywhere else we go.
Our Beliefs:
.. // .. As the people of God, we anchor ourselves in the person, work, character, and nature of our great God. He is the focus of our lives, our passion, and our pursuit. We believe that God is One in essence and three in person—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We embrace a Trinitarian view of God.
..//.. We also believe that God chose to reveal Himself through three primary ways:
His Creation (the world), often called general revelation
His Word (the Bible), often called special revelation
His Son (Jesus Christ), often call incarnation—God became human and lived among us
.. // .. Since God chose to reveal Himself to humanity, He has made it possible to know Him. The profound truth of being able to know God should inspire deep reverence, worship, awe, and all-out pursuit to know all that we can know about Him.
.. // .. God is also personal. For Christ-followers, the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, indwells us at the moment of salvation and gives us real life. For those who are spiritually far from God, He comes to you through what Jesus Christ has already accomplished for all of humanity. His death, burial, and resurrection not only saves us from our sin, but give us life, real life, right now. This life that He desires to give us now is also life eternal. So, how does one respond to the invitation of Jesus Christ and what He has done? Through faith alone. You cannot merit or work for it; you can only receive the free gift from God through our Lord Jesus Christ. The question becomes, “Will you willingly surrender your whole life to the authority and control of Jesus Christ?” This can only be done by faith.
